Dithiophosphate has the collection and froth performance, good selectivity, but the collection capacity of pyrite is poor. It is mostly used for flotation of pyrite-bearing copper sulfide ore, lead-zinc and copper-zinc polymetallic ore. It should be noted that dithiophosphate is not easy to decompose in acidic pulp, and it is also difficult to oxidize, and because it contains a small amount of sulfiding agent that is heavily oxidized ore such as H₂S Na₂S, it is the most suitable flotation agent for slightly oxidized sulfide ore.
