Mechanism of action

The basic way of collector action is the adsorption of the molecules or ions of the agent at the mineral-water interface. There are mainly molecular adsorption, ion adsorption, semi-micelle adsorption and the adsorption of the reaction products of collectors on the surface of minerals.

(1) Molecular adsorption. The adsorption of collector molecules dispersed or dissolved in the slurry solution on the surface of the mineral. The physical adsorption of non-polar molecules is mainly the adsorption of various hydrocarbon oils; the physical adsorption of polar molecules is mainly the undissociated molecules of xanthate, oleic acid and amine collectors at the solid-liquid interface Adsorption.

Production Descrisption

Sodium isoamyl xanthate is a strong collector and is mainly used for the flotation of non-ferrous metal minerals that require strong harvesting and do not require selectivity. For example, it is a good collector for flotation of oxidized sulfide or copper oxide ore and lead oxide (vulcanized by sodium sulfide or sodium hydrosulfide).
