liquid with a slightly pungent odor, toxic, slightly soluble in
water, and miscible with most organic solvents.
Methyl isobutyl carbinol(MIBC) is an excellent solvent in the
fields of dyes, petroleum, rubber, resin, paraffin, nitrocellulose,
paint, etc. It can also be used as organic synthetic raw materials
and ore flotation foaming reagents.
